As soon as Maxim reaches the castle, a solder rushes to meet him.

あなたが、迷宮に行っている間に
ガデスがここにやって来たんですよ！		 Gades came here while you were
away in the northern labyrinth!

ガデスは、陛下と二人だけで、
話をして帰ったのです。
その後、陛下があなたに会いたいと

話したと言えるものではなかった。
一方的な、かんこくじゃ……。		 I couldn't call it speaking with him.

恐怖の時代が始まると……。
まず手始めに、セイム島を

つまり、これは脅迫ではなく

マキシムはそれを感じ取ってるんだ。		 Heidecker:

ないのよ！危険だから来るななんて、
それじゃ、今まで何のために、一緒に
旅をしてきたんですか!?		 Selena:

それに、セレナさんにしか出来ない

王子：
……ウソでないと言うのなら、
必ず勝って戻ってこい。

A voice calls from the entrance.

Guy enters the throne room.
マキシム：
ガイ！		 Maxim:
Guy!
ガイ：
おうマキシム。
ひさしぶりだな。		 Guy:
Hey, Maxim.
It's been a while.
マキシム：
妹さんは、もういいのか？		 Maxim:
Your little sister's okay now?
ガイ：
ああ、妹はもう大丈夫だ。
まだ、起きる事はできないが、
すっかり元気になって、
ガバガバ、メシを食ってるさよ。		 Guy:
Yeah, my little sister's fine now.
She still can't get up, but she's
gotten all healthy, and she's
eating like a pig.
ガイ：
ジェシーが、今度は、ふとるのが
心配だって言ってたからな。
あはははっ！		 Guy:
Jessie said she's more worried
about her getting chubby now.
Ahahaha!
マキシム：
そうか、それはよかった！
でも、どうしてここに？		 Maxim:
I see, that's a relief!

ガイ：
この国の王様から、でがみを
もらったんだよ。
『ぜひ力をかしてほしい』ってな。
それで、すっとんで来たんだ。		 Guy:
I got a letter from the
King of this country.
Said "I insist that you help us."
So I rushed over here.
マキシム：
そうだったのか。		 Maxim:

ハイデッカ：
マキシム。
誰なんだ、こいつは？		 Heidecker:

Who's this guy?

ガイです。以前、一緒に旅をしていた
のですが、妹さんが病気になって、
街に戻っていたのです。		 Maxim:
This is Guy. We were traveling together
before, but his younger sister fell ill,

Heidecker suddenly leaps at Guy, who repels him in a brief but flashy melee.
ハイデッカ：

この一撃を返せるヤツがいるとは

I'm glad there's someone who
could turn back this attack!
ガイ：
ガイだ。今の一撃も、あと半歩
ふみこませると、つらかったがな。
てかげんしてくれなかったら、
どっちかが、ケガしてたな。		 Guy:
I'm Guy. If you'd made that attack half
a step closer, it would've been rough.
One of us would've gotten hurt if you
hadn't gone easy on me.
ハイデッカ：
ははは！そこまでわかってたか。
……よろしくたのむぜ、ガイ。		 Heidecker:
Hahaha! So you figured it all out.
...good to have you along, Guy.
ガイ：
ああ。		 Guy:

The king interrupts.
ガデスは、東の塔へ向かったとの
情報が入っておる。
……たのむ。たよれるのは、
お前たちだけなのじゃ。		 Reports have come in that Gades
headed to the eastern tower.
...I'm counting on you. You're
the only ones we can rely on.
マキシム：
ガデスとは、いつか戦う時が
来ると思っていました。
……今が、いい機会です。		 Maxim:
I have thought that the time would come
eventually come when I would fight Gades.
...right now is a good opportunity.
マキシム：
ガイ。ハイデッカさん。
行きましょう。		 Maxim:
Guy. Heidecker-san.
Let us go.
ハイデッカ：
その前にマキシム。
俺に敬語を使うのは、
やめてくれ。		 Heidecker:
Before that, Maxim.
Quit using honorific
language with me.
マキシム：
ですが……。		 Maxim:

ハイデッカ：
これから、ガデスのヤツを
ぶっとばしに行くんだろ。
上品にしゃべってるヒマなんかねーぜ。		 Heidecker:
We're going to go beat down
that Gades guy now, right?
We ain't gonna have time for fancy talk.
マキシム：
わかった……。
それじゃ、ガデスをぶっとばしに
行くか！		 Maxim:
Got it....
Then why don't we go
beat Gades down!
ハイデッカ：
おう、そうこなくちゃ
面白くねーぜ！		 Heidecker:
Yeah, it's gotta go like
that or it's no fun!
ガイ：
ひさしぶりにあばれてやるか！		 Guy:
Guess I'll really bust loose for once!
ティア：
いいですね、男の人って。		 Tia:
How nice, men.
セレナ：
……ええ、本当に。		 Selena:
...yes, really.
ティア：
……セレナさん。
あたしは、まだ負けませんよ。		 Tia:
...Selena-san.
I haven't lost yet.
セレナ：
えっ……そんな、私は……。		 Selena:
Wha... I, I'm not....
ティア：
……さぁ、あたしたちも
パーセライトに行きましょう。		 Tia:
...now, let us also go,
to Parselyte.
セレナ：
……ええ、そうですね。		 Selena:
...yes, let us.
ティア：
それじゃ、あたしたちは
パーセライトに行くわ。
気を付けてね、マキシム。		 Tia:
Well, we're going to
Parselyte, then.
Be careful, Maxim.
マキシム：
……ああ。ティアも
気を付けてな。		 Maxim:

careful too, Tia.
ティア：
うん。		 Tia:

Selena leaves, and after a brief pause, so does Tia.
マキシム：
さて、俺たちも
行くとしようぜ！		 Maxim:
Now, how about we go too!
ガイとハイデッカが仲間になった Guy and Heidecker became companions.

In combat, Heidecker is basically an exaggeration of Guy. While he's even stronger and tougher and capable of using even heavier equipment, he's also even slower and has even worse magic defense. {check GUT}. All brawn, no brain. He can't use magic, of course, but it's rather disappointing that he can't actually use any of the hundred special moves he bragged about earlier either.

パーセライト Parselyte (Maxim)(Guy)(Heidecker)

There's no real reason to come here, but you can talk to Selena and Tia, and see how the locals are reacting to the news. Actually, they're hardly reacting at all. I suppose it's better than blind panic.
ティア：
きっと無事に帰って来てね
マキシム。
あたし……待ってるから。		 Tia:
Make sure you came
back safe, Maxim.
I'll... be waiting for you.
セレナ：
街の事は、私にまかせてください。
ですから、あなたも……気をつけて。		 Selena:
Please leave the city to me.
So... you be careful too.

The king:
セレナから話は聞きました。ひなんの
じゅんびは進めてますが、ギリギリまで
この地をはなれないつもりです。
ここは私のすべてなのですから。		 I heard about it from Selena. Preparations
to evacuate are underway, but I don't plan
on leaving this land until the last second.
This place is everything to me.

A man in the throne room:
私は逃げませんよ。あなたが
勝てない相手なら、どこに逃げ
たって、いつか殺されます。		 I won't run away. If he is an opponent
that you cannot win against, we will be
killed eventually no matter where we run.

The woman in Selena's room:
セレナは、顔には出さないけど、
かなり心配しているわ。
……きっと無事で帰ってきとくれよ。		 Selena doesn't show it on her
face, but she's quite worried.
